What You’ll Learn

Train. Launch. Lead

  • Dream it.

Imagine a better world — and your role in building it.
Whether you want to bring clean water to villages, restore food systems, or create community healing centers — every impact starts with a vision. The Soil Fellowship begins by helping you shape that vision into something tangible, grounded, and globally relevant.

  • Build it.

Get trained by real-world innovators, not just theorists.
Through immersive learning based on our in-house initiatives — from Storehouse to Safe Ground — you’ll gain the tools, systems, and support to design projects that serve your community and align with your calling.

  • Grow it.

Launch your own initiative — with our backing.
After training, you’ll become a Soil Fellow — ready to bring our systems to life in your hometown. We’ll support you with mentorship, funding, global partners, and a growing alumni network of leaders like you.

  • Lead it.

Join the next generation of global solution-builders.
This isn’t just another course. It’s a movement. If you’re ready to serve, lead, and restore what gives life — this is where your purpose finds its roots.

Our Members

Who can apply?

Anyone, anywhere in the world who is committed to creating real, community-rooted change. Whether you're a student, organizer, innovator, or just someone who believes a better world is possible — we welcome all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to apply. If accepted, Fellows may receive full or partial scholarships depending on financial need. We also work with donors and institutions to fund each Fellow’s journey — because access to purpose-driven education should never be limited by income.

How long is the fellowship?

The core program runs for 6 months, including online training, mentorship, and project development. After graduation, Fellows receive ongoing support and opportunities to launch one of The Soil Institute’s initiatives as a local franchise model in their own communities.

Can I participate remotely?

Yes. The fellowship is designed to be accessible worldwide. All trainings are virtual, with flexible schedules and localized mentorship. When possible, Fellows may also visit one of our hub locations for in-person immersion — but remote participation is fully supported.

Do I need experience in sustainability or nonprofits?

No. You don’t need formal experience — just a genuine desire to learn, serve, and lead. We train you from the ground up with practical tools, cultural awareness, and community-first design principles. Passion, humility, and purpose matter more than titles.

What do Fellows receive after graduating?

Graduates receive:
A Fellowship Certificate from The Soil Institute
The opportunity to launch one of our initiatives in their community as a local franchise
Access to seed funding, mentorship, and a global alumni network
Lifelong support to sustain their impact and grow their leadership.

What types of projects can I lead?

Fellows can lead real-world initiatives from our in-house ecosystem, including:
The Storehouse (food justice & farmers’ markets)
Water is LIFE Alliance (clean water systems)
Safe Ground (dignified housing for the unhoused)
Nurcare (mobile clinics & community health)
And more — with room for innovation and expansion based on local needs.
